A Navy SEAL is by definition an elite operator in all situations, and when you think like a SEAL, you have what you need to take control of every aspect of your destiny. The dedication and determination of our country’s Navy SEALs has always humbled and fascinated me, so when literary agent Kevin Moran approached me with his concept for The Way of the SEAL, I was eager to be involved.
Together, Kevin and I found the perfect expert for this book. We partnered with retired Navy SEAL Commander Mark Divine to create an outline and proposal for The Way of the SEAL, and were immediately swept into the writing process when Kevin made the deal with Reader’s Digest in December.
Mark and I delivered the book in March—an amazing, fast, and somewhat insane turnaround. But the schedule didn’t slow down after that, either. Less than a year later in December 2013, The Way of the SEAL was published and immediately hit Amazon.com’s Top 100 Books list, then shortly thereafter appeared on other bestseller lists such as The Wall Street Journal Business Bestseller list, the Bookscan Business bestseller list, and multiple category lists on Amazon.com.
I’ve worked with Ally on projects in the past, most recently she was a co-writer of a book project we developed with former Navy SEAL commander, Mark Divine. Her contributions to The Way of the SEAL were invaluable. I highly recommend her.—Kevin Moran of Kevin Moran Books
Co-writing The Way of the SEAL with Mark Divine was a unique and intense experience, just as Mark’s approach to personal development is unique, intense, and outstanding. Mark leads his clients in a self-directed, all-encompassing evolution in mind, body, and spirit—a serious commitment with amazing results. Mark’s methods require determination and hard work, but as he says, if you want extraordinary results you must make an extraordinary effort. And that we certainly did.
I’ve learned so much working with Mark, and am glad to also have served him with the second self-published edition of his fitness book 8 Weeks to SEALFIT, a workbook that guides individuals to a level of training, leading, and thinking that encompasses the full spectrum of human experience, and the third edition of his other self-published book Unbeatable Mind, another workbook that in true Divine style seeks to offer readers a system for reprogramming the way they think, act, and achieve in all areas of their lives.
