In August, the Mid-Atlantic Fiction Writing Institute will hold it’s annual conference and we are happy to announce that Harrison Demchick will be one of the presenters.
On August 7, 2015, from 7:00-7:45 pm, will be the meet and greet with the Authors and Keynote Speakers, as well as a panel discussion on “Starting Your Book.” In this panel discussion, you will learn about the experiences of others that can help you get to that next step. Authors will share their successes, the trials they faced, and offer ideas and inspiration to kick off a fantastic weekend of networking and learning.
On August 8, 2015, from 3:30 – 5:15 pm, Harrison will be talking about “Why Character Consequence and Reaction are Necessary for Conflict and Tension.” This session will address the true origins of conflict and tension and how they emerge specifically from character reactions and the consequences they face.
On August 9, 2015, from 11:15 – 12:30pm, there will be a panel discussion on “Marketing, Branding, and Social Media, Oh My!” This panel of authors and experts, including Harrison, will share tips and techniques that you can use to you define, build, and get the word out about your work. Harrison will also be signing copies of his novel, The Listeners, directly afterward.
Whether you’re already published or dreaming of “someday,” this is the time to join and learn a lot from the experts. You can register and find out more here.
