I am very happy to announce that I will return once again to speak at the Communication Central Conference. This September marks this wonderful event’s 12th year. If you’re a freelance editorial professional and you haven’t been to Communication Central Conference yet, you’re really missing out! In addition to several tracks of useful, actionable information that can help you do more of what you love for better rates and with fewer headaches, the conference is a great opportunity to network with your peers. I always have a great time chatting with old friends and meeting new editors and writers.
This year’s theme is “Be a Better Freelancer”® and in keeping with that theme, the presentations mainly focus on ways you can improve your business practices. I’m a systems and tools geek, so in my session, I’ll share some of the things I’ve learned about how to leverage these in your business to create more breathing room. I’m really looking forward to connecting with my wordsmith peeps. If you’re going, be sure to let me know! Here are more details about my presentation:
Create the Freedom You Went Freelance For: Tools and Tactics to Keep Your Business
Frustrated that you aren’t enjoying as much freedom as you dreamed of when you first went freelance? In this talk, systems geek and 13-year freelancer Ally Machate will introduce you to tools and tactics that will help keep your business humming along, even when you’re out having fun. We’ll discuss several ways to make your business life easier, smoother, and more efficient, with a special focus on how certain tools and processes can help you spend less time on admin and marketing, have location independence, or just travel more and still be able to do a little work here and there (if you want), or not work at all.
Registration is now open for the Communication Central Conference, which will be held September 15-16, 2017 at the Hilton Garden Inn/College Town complex, Rochester, NY. For more program and registration details, click here. EARLY BIRD PRICING UNTIL AUGUST 15th ONLY!
For additional details, you may email host and coordinator Ruth E. Thaler-Carter at conference@communication-central.com.
Hope to see you there!
