The Mid-Atlantic Fiction Writing Institute held it’s annual conference and Harrison Demchick was one of the presenters.
August 7, 2015, from 7:00-7:45 pm, there was a meet and greet with the Authors and Keynote Speakers, as well as a panel discussion on “Starting Your Book.” In this panel discussion, they learned about the experiences of others that helped get to that next step. Authors shared their successes, the trials they faced, and offered ideas and inspiration to kick off a fantastic weekend of networking and learning.

On August 8, 2015, from 3:30 – 5:15 pm, Harrison talked about “Why Character Consequence and Reaction are Necessary for Conflict and Tension.” This session addressed the true origins of conflict and tension and how they emerged specifically from character reactions and the consequences they faced.

On August 9, 2015, from 11:15 – 12:30pm, there was a panel discussion on “Marketing, Branding, and Social Media, Oh My!” This panel of authors and experts, including Harrison, shared tips and techniques that you can be used to define, build, and get the word out about your work. Harrison also signed copies of his novel, The Listeners, directly afterward.
