It is time to take your vision from Brain to Bookshelf. You’ve had that wonderful idea for a book percolating in your head, and now it’s time to take the steps and learn the skills and tools you need to take it from just an idea to a book beautifully displayed on a bookshelf.
Our very own Harrison Demchick will be speaking at the Maryland Writers Conference “From Brain to Bookshelf” hosted by the Maryland Writer’s Assocation. His presentation will be about “Building the Perfect Draft: How a Well-Constructed Outline Helps Craft a Stronger Novel.”
Harrison will tackle what makes an effective outline. Identifying what elements of plot, character, conflict and logic should you consider before you write the first page. He will also discuss how can outlines go wrong. His talk will explore the benefits and pitfalls a writer should consider in utilizing an outline as the blueprint for a well-constructed novel.
From Brain to Bookshelf is the perfect opportunity to pitch your book to dozens of agents, attend craft and business workshops, and listen to advice from industry expert Jane Friedman who will be the keynote speaker. The conference also provides the perfect opportunity to network, sell your latest book and learn how to pitch your work.
