First thing’s first: The Writer’s Ally welcomes a diversity of projects that reflect the diversity of the real world, but we do not accept projects that are intentionally racist, sexist, or otherwise harmful and/or hateful to any community of people. No one’s perfect–we all have blind spots and biases–but if you stand firm in your bigotry, go stand somewhere else.

- finished writing a complete draft of your manuscript or proposal
- fully committed to your writing career and your book’s success
- open to hearing that your draft may need a little (or a lot) more work
- ready to invest in your success (we don’t work on “shoestring” budgets or royalty shares in lieu of payment)
